Fire Seek Public's Opinion On Choosing Mascot

June 13, 2007 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Rochester Fire News Release

Rochester, MN. The ABA Rochester Fire announced that they will hold an online poll enabling the public to choose the team's mascot. The public is able to vote on the Fire's website: http:/www.rochesterfireaba.com and choose from the options of a fox, bull or tiger. The online polling will go until June 20th. After the results of the poll, the Fire will personalize the mascot with team colors and apparel.

Director of Operations for the Fire, Bethany Stringer, said, "We hope that community involvement in choosing our mascot will make it personal and make our mascot a member of the Rochester community. The Fire organization is being built with the Rochester community in mind. The community is an essential factor in the success of our team. Through this process we want to prove that their opinions are valued and appreciated."

The Fire also plans to hold a contest later in the summer naming the mascot. For more information, visit www.rochesterfireaba.com or call 507 289 8800 or visit www.abalive.com.
