KISSIMMEE, Fla. - The Florida Fire Frogs closed out their 2018 home schedule with a 4-3 victory over the Lakeland Flying Tigers on Sunday afternoon at Osceola County Stadium. The Atlanta Braves affiliate finished the season with a 21-38 mark at home during its second season, and is 46-72 overall.

Florida (21-38, 50-75) started the scoring with a three-run rally in the fourth inning. Garrison Schwartz (0x2, R, 2 BB) drew a free pass with one out and moved to third on Braxton Davidson's (1x4, R, 2B) double to left. Greyson Jenista (1x2, R, 3B, 2 RBI, 2 BB) tripled down the line in right to plate both runners, and scored two batters later on a wild pitch to Jordan Rodgers (1x3, R, BB) to cap off the frame.

Jeremy Walker (5-11) made the lead stick through his 25th start of the year. The Gardner-Webb product allowed a run in the sixth inning to cut the lead down to 3-1, but did not suffer any other blemishes on the day. The right-hander worked around nine hits while striking out five through six frames for his team-leading, 12th quality start of the year.

Drew Waters (2x5, RBI) added an insurance run in the eighth inning with an RBI single. The 19-year-old extended his on-base streak to 16 games with a two-hit performance.

Brandon White (SV, 2) allowed two runs in the ninth with two outs, but picked up his second save as a Fire Frog by retiring AJ Simcox on a popout to second to end the game.

Alfred Gutierrez (1-4) suffered the loss for Lakeland (35-25, 71-59) with three runs allowed on four hits, four walks and five strikeouts in 4.2 innings of work.

The Fire Frogs pushed the Flying Tigers 4.5 games out of first place behind the Clearwater Threshers with eight games remaining at the conclusion of the match in Kissimmee.

Florida will take to the road for the final road trip of the season to start a four-game set at George M. Steinbrenner Field against the Tampa Tarpons beginning Monday night. It has yet to be determined who will start for either side in the opener.

First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., with coverage starting at 6:15 p.m. with the Florida Fire Frogs Pre-game Show on the Florida Fire Frogs Broadcasting Network.
