Florida Fire Frogs News Release
KISSIMMEE, Fla. - The Florida Fire Frogs and Charlotte Stone Crabs were suspended in the bottom of the fifth inning on Wednesday night, with the home team trailing 4-2. The two clubs will continue the contest on Thursday afternoon starting at 4 p.m., and wrap up the series with a seven-inning game 30 minutes after the conclusion of the series opener.
Florida opened the scoring with back-to-back doubles from Cristian Pache and Jared James for the 1-0 lead, but two run frames in the fourth and fifth pushed the visitors out in front.
Kyle Muller rolled through the first two innings with no hits allowed on 28 pitches, but needed 65 pitches to get through his final two frames. The Dallas native surrendered four runs on six hits, two walks and a sacrifice fly.
After the top of the fifth, the skies opened up and the game was suspended with the Fire Frogs trailing by two runs.
Coverage of Thursdays contests will begin at 3:45 p.m. with the Florida Fire Frogs Pre-game Show on the Florida Fire Frogs Broadcasting Network.
Thursday will also be Free Beer Thursday at the ballpark, where fans 21-and-older will receive free beer from first pitch until the opposing team scores!
