
Fire fines Head Coach Denis Hamlett and Defender Bakary Soumare

CHICAGO - Chicago Fire Soccer today announced that the organization has fined head coach Denis Hamlett and defender Bakary Soumare undisclosed amounts for an incident that took place in the locker room during halftime of the Fire's match against the Houston Dynamo on August 9th.
"The locker room can get heated and we bring a lot of passion to our game days. Even when this happens, a line cannot be crossed," said Fire technical director, Frank Klopas. "The team has moved past this incident regarding Denis and Bakary and our focus remains on bringing the MLS Cup back to Chicago this season." No further comments will be given.
The Fire return to action on Sunday, August 16th as the Fire take on the Kansas City Wizards at Community America Ballpark (2 p.m. CT, TeleFutura).
