
Fire Fall to Dynamo at Home

CHICAGO, IL (June 5, 2009) - The Eastern Conference leading Chicago Fire (5-2-6, 21 pts.) fell to the Houston Dynamo (6-2-3, 21 pts.) 1-0 tonight at TOYOTA PARK. The loss is just the second loss for the Fire through their first 13 games of the 2009 Major League Soccer season. With 21 points, the Fire remain in first place in the Eastern Conference, two points ahead of D.C. United. The Fire will return to action Saturday, June 13th on the road as Chicago faces D.C. United at RFK Stadium (6:30 p.m. CT, My50 Chicago).
The Dynamo scored the lone goal of the match as defender Andrew Hainault played a long ball out of the backfield for forward Kei Kamara deep in the left corner. Kamara slipped a pass from the left corner of the area for midfielder Stuart Holden running into the six-yard box. Holden placed a shot into the left side of the net for the game-winner.
