Louisville, KY-The Louisville Fire Arena Football team were assigned Keller Speaks (6'3, 260 lbs., Jacksonville State University) and Jerry Spencer (6'3, 320 lbs., University of Louisville).

Speaks joined the team in the middle of the 2007 season. He played in seven games and had 11.5 tackles, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and 2.5 sacks.

"In his short time with us last season Keller [Speaks] proved that he could make a difference on the defensive line," stated Head Coach Tommy Johnson. "We expect big things from him this season with a year of experience."

Spencer is returning to Louisville for the first time since 2003. While with the Cardinals he was a staple on the offensive line. Spencer has played in the arenafootball2 league for the past two seasons. In 2006 he was a member of the Stockton Lightning and in 2007 he played for the ArenaCup 8 champions Tulsa Talons.

"Jerry has experience in this league and has been apart of a championship team at every level he has played," stated Johnson.

The Louisville Fire will kickoff the 2008 season against the Iowa Barnstormers on March 29. Season tickets for the 2008 Fire season are on sale now and can be purchased by calling 502.368.0009. Season ticket packages start at $72.
