Allentown, PA. - With two down in the top of the seventh, Philadelphia Force (1-5) second baseman Emily Friedman worked Bandits' pitcher Jennie Finch to a 3-0 count. With her perfect game on the line, Finch buckled down in the circle to force Friedman into a ground out at third base for the final out of the game.

In seven innings of work, Finch (2-0) struck out 12 of the 21 batters she faced and received some run support from the offense; en route to a 3-0 Bandits victory over the Philadelphia Force.

The Bandits (9-2) kicked off the scoring in the top of the third inning when Vicky Galindo (1-for-2, 1R) singled through the left side to reach first base. Two batters later, Galindo stole second base with Bandits rookie Tammy Williams (1-for-4, 1 HR, 1R, 1 RBI) at the plate. Williams grounded out to third base shortly after for the second out of the third.

With two down and Galindo on second, Bandits' catcher Rachel Folden (2-for-4, 1R) blasted a hard grounder up the middle towards Force centerfielder Lillian Hammond. Hammond misplayed the ball in centerfield, allowing Galindo to score and Folden to reach second for the early 1-0 Bandits lead.

One batter later, Samantha Findlay (1-3, 1RBI, 1BB, 2K) blasted a single passed Force pitcher Megan Gibson (0-1) to score Folden from second base, making the score 2-0 in favor of the Bandits.

Williams added to the Bandits lead in the top of the seventh when she blasted the 2-1 offering from Philadelphia's Kristin Erb deep to right field for the solo homerun, giving the Bandits a 3-0 lead.

Gibson was saddled with the loss after throwing five innings of seven hit ball while giving up two unearned runs and striking out four. Erb finished with two innings pitched, one earned run and two hits. She also struck out three Bandits' batters in the effort.
