Glens Falls, NY - The Adirondack Civic Center Coalition announced today that it has made the last payment of the Lease Agreement of Cool Insuring Arena with the City of Glens Falls.

The final installation of $50,000 payments was presented to Glens Falls Mayor Dan Hall and the City of Glens Falls Thursday afternoon at City Hall. The total cost of the agreement was $600,000. The lease of Cool Insuring Arena will now run through December 31, 2019. The Coalition has yet to exercise its option to purchase the arena.

"This day, and this final payment, are the results of years of hard work by the Adirondack Civic Center Coalition board and a dedicated staff of the organization," Adirondack Civic Center Coalition President Dan Burke said. "I would like to extend a big congratulations to us all."

The Coalition completed its purchase of the Adirondack Thunder from Calgary Sports & Entertainment on June 30, 2017 after it had entered into the Lease-Purchase Agreement with the City of Glens Falls on December 31, 2014.

Cool Insuring Arena is a 4,794 seat multi-purpose arena in the heart of downtown Glens Falls. The arena currently serves as the home of the ECHL's Adirondack Thunder and is a host to concerts, graduations, basketball games and other local events in the Capital Region.
