Fighting Saints Release 2023-24 Season Schedule

Dubuque, IA - The Dubuque Fighting Saints, in conjunction with the United States Hockey League (USHL), are proud to release the schedule for the upcoming 2023-24 season.

This season's schedule again features 62 games for all USHL teams, but also welcomes some significant changes. For the first time since the 2019-20 season, the USHL will return to interconference play. The Fighting Saints will also be featured in the USHL's 2024 Frosty Cup hosted annually in Texas. The season will begin with the USHL Fall Classic in Cranberry Twp., PA in late September.

Dubuque's home slate opens in the first game out of the Fall Classic on Friday, September 29th with Dupaco Cowbell Cup rival Waterloo Black Hawks coming to town. The Fighting Saints will quickly turn around for their first road game of the season the following night, making the short trek to Cedar Rapids to take on the RoughRiders.

The Fighting Saints will welcome their first Western Conference opponent (aside from Cowbell Cup opponents Waterloo and Des Moines) back to the Dubuque Ice Arena in the Omaha Lancers on Friday, October 13th, and will do battle the next night with the defending Western Conference and Anderson Cup champion Fargo Force.

To close out the month of January, the Fighting Saints will travel to Texas and represent the USHL in their annual Frosty Cup taking on the Sioux Falls Stampede on January 25th and 26th.

After the Frosty Cup, the Fighting Saints return home for their longest home stand of the season with four straight games at the Dubuque Ice Arena from February 2nd-February 16th. A short two weeks later, the Saints will endure their longest road trip of the season, also at four games long from February 24th-March 8th.

The Fighting Saints home schedule features 29 games with only one game falling on a Thursday and the remaining 28 being on either a Friday or Saturday evening. Dubuque home games will drop the puck for every game at 7:05 pm CT.

The schedule, while published, is subject to change due to severe weather, arena availability, or other concerns. Dates, times, and more details for the USHL Fall Classic, Frosty Cup, and preseason action will be released at a later date.
