
Fifth-Inning Rally Sparks Blowout Win for the Glens Falls Dragons, 10-3

A seven-run explosion in the fifth inning hoisted the Glens Falls Dragons (12-17) to a 10-3 win over the Saugerties Stallions at Cantine Memorial Veterans Field on Thursday.
The Glens Falls Dragons scored in the fifth on a two-run error, an error, a wild pitch,, a sacrifice fly by Ryan Hooper, and a solo home run by Chris Kwitzer .
Josh Brown racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Glens Falls Dragons.
The Saugerties Stallions (10-18) had no answer for Jeremy Norris, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Saugerties Stallions managed just one hit off of Norris, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two during his three innings of work.
The Saugerties Stallions were led by a flawless day at the dish by Alex Thrower, who went 2-2 against the Glens Falls Dragons' pitching. He singled in the first and third innings.
Joe Jones recorded his second win of the year for the Glens Falls Dragons. He allowed three runs over five innings. Jones struck out none, walked five and gave up four hits.
John Doherty ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked four and struck out three.
