The first Fiesta Mexicana de Beisbol de los Dos Nogales is this weekend. Here is the schedule:
Friday, September 20 - 7:30 pm: Los Mochis vs. Navojoa in Nogales, Arizona - Memorial Park
Friday, September 20 - 7:30 pm: Obregon vs. Hermosillo in Nogales, Sonora - Estadio Alberto Hoeffer
Saturday, September 21 - 7:00 pm: Obregon vs. Hermosillo in Nogales, Arizona - Memorial Park
Saturday, September 21 - 7:00 pm: Los Mochis vs. Navojoa in Nogales, Sonora - Estadio Alberto Hoeffer
Sunday, September 22 - 4:00 pm: Hermosillo vs. Los Mochis in Nogales, Arizona - Memorial Park
Sunday, September 22 - 4:00 pm: Obregon vs. Navojoa in Nogales, Sonora - Estadio Alberto Hoeffer
Tickets: Fans can purchase tickets to the games in Nogales, Arizona at the Nogales - Santa Cruz County Chamber of Commerce and at Memorial Park beginning at 1:00 pm the day of the game.
Fans can purchase tickets to the games in Nogales, Sonora at Estadio Alberto Hoeffer, Little Caesars Pizza, Hotel Fray Marcos de Niza and Instituto Del Deporte.
Friday Promotions: The first 1,000 fans to both Nogales games will receive a free set of inflatable thundersticks, courtesy of Curacao. Gates open at 6:00 pm for both games.
Saturday Promotions: There will be two free youth baseball camps from 10:30 am - 12:00 pm Saturday, one at Liga Bellota Field in Nogales, Sonora and the other at Memorial Park in Nogales, Arizona. The camp at Memorial Park will feature instruction from Hermosillo and Obregon players. The camp at Estadio Alberto Hoeffer will feature instruction from Los Mochis and Navojoa players. The camp is for kids ages 6-12.
Before Saturday's game at Memorial Park, the Rio Rico Little League Junior National Champions will be honored on the field. The Rio Rico team won the national championship in late August, in a game televised on ESPN.
Sunday Promotions: All kids ages 16 and under wearing a baseball or soccer jersey of any kind will receive a free bleacher ticket if they're accompanied by an adult. This special applies to both games.
Additionally, famous mascots Beto Coyote of Hermosillo and Chaco of Obregon will appear at a game each night.
