Indiana Fever News Release
INDIANAPOLIS - The Indiana Fever announced today forward Chelsey Perry has signed the qualifying offer extended by VP of Basketball Operations and General Manager, Tamika Catchings. Per team policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.
"Chelsey showed tremendous upside during her rookie season, as well as the potential to add valuable depth to our roster on the perimeter and in the frontcourt," Fever Head Coach Marianne Stanley said. "Chelsey is continuing to rehab in Indianapolis during the offseason and preparing to return during the upcoming regular season."
In six regular season games played, Perry averaged 2.2 points, 1.0 rebound and 6.7 minutes per contest as a rookie.
Perry was selected with the 26th overall pick in the 2021 WNBA Draft by Indiana and played in the first two games of the regular season for the Fever. She was released on May 17 and was later signed back to the team on June 28, but missed the last 12 games of the season due a torn right ACL.
