Tri-Cities Fever News Release

Kennewick, WA. 04/27/06. The rematch between the Tri-Cities Fever and the Billings Outlaws promises to be everything it is being built up to be, as a battle of two of the top three teams in the Pacific Conference will square off. Billings is 5-1 on the season with that one loss coming at the hands of the Fever 44-41 in Kennewick, Washington. The Fever, sitting at 4-1 and avenged their only loss of the season last week with a 54-25 thumping of the Wyoming Cavalry, will be looking to take sole possession of the Pacific Conference North Division with a victory.

Quarterback Joe Wiser, who put in a gutty performance last week against Wyoming, will not be able to suit up for the team this week as he is out with a severe concussion. The Fever added journeyman indoor/arena quarterback Michael Spriggs to the team this week and activated season opening starter DeMarcus Morris off injured reserve.

Billings has a quarterback situation of their own, although they have too many, not too few like the Fever experienced. Chris Dixon has returned from a workout with the British Columbia Lions of the Canadian Football League (CFL) and may or may not start for the Outlaws on Saturday. Their other options are Adam Sanchez, who performed well in his only start last week against the St. Joseph's Cyclones. They have also brought in a candidate in Beau Pierce. He has spent time with the San Francisco 49er's as well as in the CFL.

Whoever is at quarterback for each team they will be facing strong defenses. Both the Fever and the Outlaws posses two of the leagues top defensive units. "It is always tough to go on the road and steal a victory against good teams in this league," said head coach Dan Whitsett. "We expect nothing less than an all out battle up there Saturday night. They will be ready and so will we. Our guys are looking forward to playing such a talented team."

Injury Report....

Jarvis Dunn will again be out this week with a high ankle sprain.

Aaron "Pudge" Retzlaff has minor surgery to clean out his knee today. He is scheduled to be able to start practicing again in three weeks.
