Fehrenbach Re-Signs With Raiders
January 25, 2008 - Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL)
Rochester Raiders News Release
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (January 25, 2008)- Former Marcus Whitman and St. John Fisher star wide receiver, Noah Fehrenbach has resigned with the Raiders for the 2008 season. Fehrenbach has played for the Raiders in both of the previous two seasons and played a key role in last years CIFL championship run. With his 6'3" frame he proves to be a big target with speed for quarterback Mike Mikolaichik to compliment the shorter Maurice Jackson and Darryl Frager. Jackson and Fehrenbach have combined for more touchdowns in the past two years then any other receiving tandem in the league.
"Noah is a tremendous young man," commented Raiders co-owner Dave McCarthy, "We are glad to have him back for another season. He is a great athlete with exceptional hands, and will make our offense really difficult to defend by opposing teams."
The Raiders have also resigned defensive lineman James Baker and Pat Dana from last year's championship team. They have also added more depth and size to the offensive line by signing 6'4" 325 pound, Ronnie McClary out of Elizabeth City State University, joining current Raiders Chris Shaw and Chris Carter that also played at ECSU.
The Raiders are scheduled to open training camp at the end of January with rookie camp that will include the players that have attended the three tryouts that have been held over the past couple of months. The veterans will report to camp in the beginning of February. The Raiders will kick off their 2008 season March 21 when they visit the Chesapeake Tide and will have their home opener at the Blue Cross Arena the following week March 29 against the Lehigh Valley Outlawz at 2:00pm.
Season Tickets are currently on sale at the Blue Cross Arena and through Ticketmaster at a cost of $60 for the entire season, individual tickets will not be available until February and will be $15 per ticket. For more information please visit www.rochesterraiders.com.
