FCE Set July 2014 Preseason Schedule

EDMONTON, AB (June 23, 2014) - FC Edmonton announce today a string of preseason friendlies for a match-filled tune up along the west coast from June 28th until July 7th. With matches in Kamloops, Victoria, and Seattle, the squad will look to shape up before its 2014 North American Soccer League (NASL) Fall Season campaign.

Starting off in Kamloops, FC Edmonton will start off its July friendlies against the best that Kamloops has to offer playing against the Kamloops All-Star Team. FC Edmonton then heads off to the Island to take on Premier Development League (PDL) side Victoria Highlanders FC before returning to the mainland and a trip down to Seattle to play Major League Soccer's Seattle Sounders in a final preseason match up.

"Our preseason has been well thought out," said FC Edmonton head coach Colin Miller. "We are very excited about the trip back out to British Columbia and the west coast as we have three very good, competitive games lined up."

The Eddies will then travel back to Edmonton on July 7th in advance of their Fall Season home opener. This match against Ottawa Fury FC is presented by West Edmonton Mall (4:00 p.m. MT KO).

FC Edmonton's Fall Season home opener is presented by West Edmonton Mall and tickets start at just $10 in the YMCA Family Fun Zone. These tickets can be purchased at all participating Edmonton YMCA locations. Fans can also purchase tickets online or by calling 780.700.2600.

FC Edmonton's July preseason match schedule is as follows:

Sunday, June 29. 2014: FC Edmonton vs. Kamloops All-Star Team @ MacArthur Island (3:00 p.m. PT KO)*

Wednesday, July 2, 2014: FC Edmonton vs. Victoria Highlanders FC @ University of Victoria (6:00 p.m. PT KO)**

Sunday, July 6, 2014: FC Edmonton vs. Seattle Sounders @ Sounders Training Facility (3:00 p.m. PT KO)
