FC Dallas' MLS regular season opener is Saturday, March 3 against Real Salt Lake at Toyota Stadium. FC Dallas also hosts Tauro FC in the second leg of a CONCACAF Champions League round of 16 match on Wednesday, February 28 at 7PM at Toyota Stadium.

Here are a few things you need to know about the match:
- FC Dallas lost 1-0 to Tauro FC in Panama last Wednesday, February 21. FC Dallas can advance outright in CCL play if they win by two goals.
- Tauro FC is the only team FC Dallas has faced twice in CCL play. The Panamanian side is also the only team it has failed to beat. FCD's record against Tauro FC is 0-2-1 with 4GF and 6GA.
- Tauro and FCD drew 1-1 in their only previous meeting at Toyota Stadium on Sept. 14, 2011. Daniel Cruz scored the lone goal for FC Dallas, just 27 seconds into the match. Tauro's goal came via penalty kick.
- FC Dallas first-ever appearance in SCCL came on July 28, 2011. FC Dallas defeated Alianza FC, 1-0, in El Salvador.
- FC Dallas' second Homegrown, Victor Ulloa is the only player on the roster for all three of the franchise's appearances in SCCL competition.
- FC Dallas became the first MLS team to win a SCCL game on Mexican soil on August 17, 2011. FC Dallas defeated PUMAS, 1-0. The win was the first for an MLS side in 25 attempts. Honduran Marvin Chávez scored the goal for FC Dallas.
- FC Dallas has faced eight different teams in SCCL competition: Alianza, PUMAS, Toronto FC, Tauro FC, Real Esteli, Suchitepéquez, Arabe Unido and Pachuca.
