FC Tulsa News Release
TULSA - FC Tulsa will take the pitch on April 5 in new kits inspired by the Oklahoma state tree, the Eastern RedBud Tree.
The kit will be all pink with black accents and feature an outline of the state of Oklahoma with "RedBud State Tree" inside of the outline on the bottom left of the jersey top. On the back of the jersey, an outline of the RedBud Tree will be featured above the player's name.
On June 24, 1971, the redbud as official tree became a statute under Gov. David Hall. The Eastern Redbud is a deciduous tree (tree that sheds leaves seasonally) and is native to North America. It is often multi-trunked with a rounded crown and is extensively planted throughout Oklahoma. The redbud, with its heart-shaped leaves, evokes a message of love in Oklahoma.
