FC New York News Release
New recruits are assembled and some have been waiting over a year to be a part of New York City's Professional soccer team. The reserve will open up with a friendly match against the famed Brooklyn Italians this Saturday June 4th at 5PM at John Dewey HS in Brooklyn.
"The reserve squad will be comprised of some of the best local players and players will have the opportunity to join the first team" said Director of Soccer Carlo Acquista. They will push the first team and gain professional coaching at the same time. The reserves are coached by Tony Noto who also coaches for the Brooklyn Italians. The Brooklyn Italians are part of the NPSL and will be coach that day by club president Joe Barone. Acquista further stated "Joe (Barone) is a wealth of knowledge and he believes in the growth of the sport, something he has committed many years to".
