 FC New York News Release
Queens, N.Y. - F.C. New York has signed Puerto Rican international striker Chris Megaloudis for the rest of the season as it continues its battle for a playoff spot in USL Pro.
The Queens product last played for River Plate Puerto Rico and comes home to help New York in the stretch run of the season. After graduating from Stony Brook University in 2005, Megaloudis spent time with the Westchester Flames of the PDL.
He made a lone appearance with the New York Red Bulls in 2008 before playing two seasons at Sevilla FC Puerto Rico. A short stint with Serbia's Radnicki Obrenovac in 2010 led him to look for a new club this year, where he has now settled to play in his native New York.
Megaloudis has scored five goals in nine appearances with the Puerto Rican national team, having debuted in 2008. He qualifies to play through his mother, who is from the island.
F.C. New York's next game is Friday, July 29, at 7:30 p.m. against the Wilmington Hammerheads at Belson Stadium. For tickets and information please call 866-827-0154 or email tickets@fcnewyorksoccer.com.
