FC Edmonton Releases 2022 Schedule Presented by Westjet

Edmonton, AB - FC Edmonton released the full 2022 season schedule presented by WestJet today. Matches begin with the home opener on April 10 vs Valour FC at 2pm PM and go through to October 8 when FC Edmonton closes the regular season against Valour FC. The 2022 CPL season has the Eddies playing 28 regular season matches (14 home/14 away) in a single table format with 79% of home matches being played on weekends (Fri-Sun).

The Eddies will hit the road for their first away game vs Forge FC on April 23 at 2pm MT. The much-anticipated Al Classico battle between FC Edmonton and Cavalry FC begins at home on May 6 at 8pm MT with both teams playing each other twice at home in the fight for the Wildrose Cup.

Format

Each club will play 28 regular season games - 14 home and 14 away matches

The CPL schedule will consist primarily of weekend matches (Fri-Sun) with only 16 mid-week matches in 2022.
