FC Edmonton Adds Peruvian Winger to 2020 Roster
February 19, 2020 - Canadian Premier League (CPL)
FC Edmonton News Release
FC Edmonton is delighted to announce the signing of Peruvian winger Raúl Tito for the 2020 Canadian Premier League (CPL) season.
Tito has featured 46 times in the Peruvian first division and has featured twice in the historic tournament, Copa Sudamericana. The 22-year-old winger has international experience as he has represented Peru at the U-20 level.
"Raúl is a significant attacking addition to our club. He is a quick player who loves to get at defenders and attack inside the 18," FC Edmonton Head Coach and Interim General Manager Jeff Paulus said. "Raul will bring creativity to our attack and add an attacking dimension that we were lacking."
Before signing for FC Edmonton, Tito featured 10 times for Cienciano and prior to that he featured 30 times for Sport Rosario. Despite only being 22-years-old, Tito comes into the squad with 122 professional appearances under his belt.
Tito is expected to join the Eddies for preseason, but is currently awaiting Visa approval.
