FC Dallas News Release
FRISCO, Texas - FC Dallas winger Szabolcs Schön was named to MLSsoccer.com's Team of the Week for Week 18, while defender Ryan Hollingshead was named to the TOTW bench following the 2-0 shutout win against new Texas rival Austin FC on Saturday, Aug. 7 at Toyota Stadium. This is Schön's first Team of the Week honor for the 2021 season and Hollingshead's third Team of the Week bench appearance and fourth overall of the season.
Schön, 20, tallied two assists in the win against Austin, assisting Hollingshead in the 50th minute and Jesús Ferreira in the 63rd minute. In Dallas' first goal of the night, Schön was quick to pick up a rebound off a corner and laid the ball off to Ryan Hollingshead whose first-time shot was sent to the far corner of the goal. Thirteen minutes later, Schön picked up a pass from Nkosi Tafari and fired a low cross to Ferreira who then proceeded to fire his shot past Austin's goal to double the lead.
Hollingshead, 30, makes his third appearance on MLSsoccer.com's Team of the Week bench this season after scoring the opening goal, a game-winner, against Austin FC.
