Austin FC and Netspend to Host Back-To-School Event

Austin FC to partner with Austin-based payments and digital solutions provider, Netspend, to host back-to-back school event at St. David's Performance Center; Verde Leaders and Austin Sunshine Camps Students to benefit from joint community initiative

Austin, TEXAS - Austin FC announced today that the Club will coordinate a Back-to-School event, presented by Netspend, the Club's Official Jersey Sleeve Partner and Founding Partner, benefiting students from 4ATX Foundation's Verde Leaders program and local nonprofit Austin Sunshine Camps to signal the return to class for all Central-Texas families and students.

The joint Back-to-School event will be held at St. David's Performance Center on Tuesday, August 10, starting at 5:30pm CDT and will consist of coaching stations led by Austin FC players and 4ATX Foundation coaches, social-emotional learning, restorative circles and a dedicated Netspend backpack personalization station. Austin FC's commitment to serve the community through 4ATX Foundation's Verde Leaders program, along with its mission to equip teens from low-income Austin neighborhoods with the social, emotional, and practical tools needed to thrive in today's world, aligns with Netspend's belief that everyone deserves an opportunity to improve their life through education.

As a commitment to the community, Netspend and Austin FC have leveraged their community relationships and collaborated with several community-focused programs to support the Austin and Central-Texas region. The partnership's previous joint initiatives include a community uplift project and a $10,000 donation in Netspend cards for the purchase of supplies by school staff.
