FC Dallas Readies for 2018 MLS SuperDraft in Philadelphia Tomorrow

FRISCO, TEXAS (Thursday, January 18) - FC Dallas announced its preseason schedule today, 23-hours ahead of the annual MLS SuperDraft presented by adidas. FC Dallas holds the No. 11, No. 29 and No. 34 overall selections in tomorrow's two-round draft, which is being held in the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia ( watch live at 10 a.m. CT on MLSsoccer.com ).

Four current FC Dallas players, including Matt Hedges (11th overall pick in 2012), were acquired via the draft: Tesho Akindele (6th overall pick in 2014), Jacori Hayes (18th overall pick in 2017) and Ryan Hollingshead (20th overall pick in 2013).

The third and fourth rounds of the SuperDraft will be held via conference call on Sunday, January 21. FC Dallas holds the 11th pick in each of the two rounds, at No. 57 and 80 overall.

FC Dallas Preseason Schedule

Training sessions for FC Dallas' 23rd season will begin on Monday, January 22 at 4 p.m. CT. The team will train at 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily at Toyota Soccer Center though Saturday, January 27. FC Dallas players and coaches are available for interviews at all training sessions. Media planning to attend training sessions should confirm training times as the schedule is subject to change. FC Dallas will remain in Frisco for the week of Monday, January 29 before departing for its match versus Chattanooga FC on Friday, February 2. FCD will face the National Premier Soccer League side at Finley Stadium in Tennessee on Saturday, February 3.

FC Dallas will host San Antonio FC at Toyota Soccer Center on Sunday, February 11. The team will then depart for the Mobile Mini Sun Cup in Tucson, Arizona on Tuesday, February 13. FC Dallas will play the New England Revolution the following day, Wednesday, February 14. Players not seeing time in the first match against New England will play versus the Revolution Reserves on Thursday, February 15. FC Dallas' final match in Tucson is against the Portland Timbers on Saturday, February 17.

FC Dallas departs Dallas on February 19 ahead of its CONCACAF Champions League match against Tauro FC in Panama City on Wednesday, February 21 at Estadio Rommel Fernandez Gutierrez. FCD hosts Tauro FC in the return leg of the Round of 16 match at Toyota Stadium on Wednesday, February 28. Click here for ticket information.
