FC Cincinnati 2 News Release

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - FC Cincinnati 2 jumped out to a 2-0 halftime lead, but conceded three second half goals including the game-winner in stoppage time to drop a 3-2 decision at New England Revolution II on Sunday at Gillette Stadium.

FCC 2 fall to 1-2-0 (3 points) as New England improve to 2-0-1 (8 points).

Arquimides Ordonez opened scoring for the second consecutive game with an impressive solo goal in the 14th minute. He took a pass from Morgan Marshall in FCC 2's defensive half and carried possession alone down the right side and buried a right footed shot past the outstretched New England goalkeeper to give the Orange and Blue a 1-0 lead.

FCC 2 doubled their lead in the 22nd minute. Andrew Akindele on the right endline found Zico Bailey at the top of the box who distributed a pass to an open Avionne Flanagan who took a touch and fired a left footed shot into the back of the net.

Revolution II scored in the 58th and 67th minutes to equalize, and second half substitute Jack Panayotou's winner in the 92nd minute sent home FCC 2 without a point from the game.

The Orange and Blue outshot New England in shots on target, 7-5.

FC Cincinnati 2 return to action Saturday, April 23 to take on Inter Miami CF II. Kickoff from NKU Soccer Stadium in Highland Heights, Kentucky is set for 1 p.m.
