
Fayetteville's Sean Bonar Named Easton Player of the Week

HUNTERSVILLE, NC - The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) on Tuesday announced goaltender Sean Bonar of the Fayetteville FireAntz is the Easton Player of the Week for December 28-January 3.
Bonar went 2-0-0 with a 0.50 goals-against average, a .981 save percentage and one shutout as the FireAntz moved into second place in the SPHL standings. On Thursday, the Delta, BC native stopped all 22 Macon shots in a 3-0 win over the Mayhem. Bonar turned in another strong performance on Saturday, stopping 30 of 31 shots in Fayetteville's 3-1 over Knoxville.
Bonar, who currently ranks third in save percentage (.930) and fourth in goals-against average (2.12), played his collegiate hockey at Princeton University and was named to the ECAC All-Academic Team each of his four seasons, majoring in Mechanical Engineering.
