
Fayetteville's Sean Bonar Named Easton Player of the Week

HUNTERSVILLE, NC (December 23, 2014) - The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) today announced goaltender Sean Bonar of the Fayetteville FireAntz is the Easton Player of the Week for December 15-21.
Bonar went 1-0-0 with a 0.75 goals against average and a .982 save percentage in helping the FireAntz split a pair of road games with league-leading Pensacola.
On Friday, the Delta, British Columbia native stopped 43 of 44 shots, including 16 in the third period, as Fayetteville defeated the Ice Flyers 2-1. Bonar then stopped all 12 third-period shots in a relief appearance on Saturday as Pensacola rebounded for a 5-2 win over the FireAntz.
Since signing with Fayetteville on December 4, Bonar has posted a 2-0-0 record with a 0.83 goals against average, stopping 96 of the 98 shots he has faced (.980 save percentage). Bonar, who played his collegiate hockey at Princeton University, majored in Mechanical Engineering and was named to the ECAC All-Academic Team each of his four seasons.
