Fayetteville trades Finn to Roanoke for King

GREENVILLE, S.C., December 13 – The Fayetteville Patriots and the Roanoke Dazzle have completed the first trade of the 2004-05 National Basketball Development League season, according to an announcement by NBDL director of basketball operations Chris Alpert.

The Patriots sent 6-11, 240, rookie center Sean Finn to the Roanoke Dazzle in exchange for 6-4, 180, shooting guard Mike King.

Finn (Dayton '04) has played in 10 games (two starts) for Fayetteville and is averaging 21.9 minutes, 5.1 points and 4.1 rebounds. King (George Washington '01) has played in eight games for Roanoke, averaging 24.3 minutes, 14.3 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists.

King is 14th in the league in scoring and sixth in the NBDL in free throw percentage at .862 (25-for-29). Finn is third in the league in field goal percentage at .622 (23-for-37).

Fayetteville is 1-9 and is host to Huntsville (5-3) in back-to-back games Friday and Saturday. Roanoke is 5-3 and travels to league-leading Columbus (7-1) on Thursday.
