GREENVILLE, S.C., March 2 – The Fayetteville Patriots have acquired center Justin Rowe from the NBA's National Basketball Development League available player pool. Rowe assumes the roster spot vacated by Ernest Brown, who left the team.

At 7-0, 235, Rowe was in vet camp with the Phoenix Suns this season after playing in Hungary in 2003-04, where he averaged 9.8 points and 6.6 rebounds for MAFC-Ujbuda Budapest. He played briefly for Yakima in the CBA and for Galatasaray Istanbul in Turkey after being released by the Suns earlier this season.

As a senior at the University of Maine ('03), Rowe averaged 10.3 points and 9.4 rebounds. He was a first-team All-America East Conference selection as a junior after averaging 12.6 points and 8.0 rebounds in 2001-02.

Rowe is expected to be in uniform when the Patriots host Huntsville on Thursday. He will wear jersey #33.
