GREENVILLE, S.C., March 3 – Roanoke forward Isiah Victor has been named the National Basketball Development League Player of the Month for games played in February.

In 11 games (four starts), Victor averaged 19.7 points and 7.5 rebounds while leading the Dazzle to an 8-3 record and into first place in the NBDL standings. He converted 48.8-percent from the field (79-of-162) and was also good on 80.8-percent from the free throw line (59-73).

Victor leads the NBDL in scoring with 18.9 points per game and is sixth among NBDL rebounders at 7.1 per game. He has accumulated those numbers despite starting just 13 of the 35 games he has played in.

Victor is the fourth Roanoke player to earn NBDL player of the month honors and the second Dazzle winner this season. Current Charlotte Bobcats guard Matt Carroll won the award in January 2005. Marque Perry and George Williams earned the award in February and November of last season, respectively. Cory Alexander, also with the Bobcats, was NBDL player of the month in January 2003.

The league offers players the opportunity to develop their talent in a highly competitive atmosphere under the NBA's umbrella. Thirty-four (34) players have been called up the NBA on 47 separate occasions. Nine former NBDL coaches, five athletic trainers, 11 referees and 29 front office executives have also been called up since the start of the league's inaugural season in November 2001. Six additional front office executives have earned positions with other major league sports.

Designed to help grow the sport of basketball both domestically and internationally, the league also offers fun, family entertainment at affordable prices. The NBDL is a source of on-court talent for the NBA's 30 teams and is a diverse human resources pool for the NBA and its teams by training employees in management, operations, public relations, sales and marketing positions.
