
Fayetteville Acquires Randle, Waives Erwin

GREENVILLE, S.C., January 11 - The Fayetteville Patriots have acquired forward Ryan Randle from the NBA Development League available player pool and waived forward Duane Erwin.
Randle, 6-9, 240, has been playing professionally in Poland for Slask Wroclaw where he averaged 10.4 points and 7.0 rebounds in 26 games and played in the Polish League All-Star Game. He was a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers entry at the 2005 Reebok Vegas Summer League.
He finished his collegiate career at Maryland after transferring from Allegany Junior College in Maryland. He averaged 12.7 points and 7.8 rebounds as a Terrapin senior. Being a part of the 2002 NCAA Champion Maryland squad completed his run of playing in a championship game in high school, junior college and college.
Erwin played in eight games (one start) for Fayetteville after being acquired on December 6. He averaged 19.5 minutes, 4.0 points and 4.5 rebounds.
