Published on January 11, 2006 under NBA G League (G League) News Release
GO WEST YOUNG MAN: Fayetteville forward Kaniel Dickens signed a 10-day contract with the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday, making him the third GATORADE Call-Up of the season and the 53rd since the league began play in November 2001. The Patriots picked up forward Sharrod Ford to fill that roster spot.
GO NORTH YOUNG MAN: The Minnesota Timberwolves recalled guard Bracey Wright from the Florida Flame on Tuesday. Wright was second in the league and led the Flame in scoring with 21.4 points per game. His exodus leaves the Flame with three NBA-assigned players - Earl Barron and Dorell Wright from the HEAT and Dwayne Jones from the Timberwolves.
THEY SAID IT: "He looks a little bit ahead of the curve as far as rookies are concerned. Down there, he's been able to make mistakes and play through it." Timberwolves coach Dwane Casey told the Pioneer Presson Bracey Wright 's return from his D-League assignment.
LOCK AND LOAD: Fayetteville's Erik Daniels and Anthony Grundy of Roanoke aren't shy about taking the ball to the hole, sharing the league lead for field goals attempted per game at 17.2. Fortunately for their teams, they also lead the league in field goals made per game with Daniels at 7.9 and Grundy at 7.2
