Fans To Receive Extra Treat In Spartans Home Opener

La Crosse, WI: Fans attending this weekend's Spartans home opener will be given an extra treat throughout the game. Former Green Bay Packers legend Bill Schroeder will be in attendance helping cheer on the Spartans to their first victory, and will be signing autographs for fans at halftime. Schroeder adds to a list of local celebrities, that include Craig Newsome and Santana Dotson, who have lent their support to the team in their inaugural season.
"We want these games to be an unforgettable experience for our fans," stated Spartans Co-Owner and General Manager Chris Kokalis. "Having someone like Bill Schroeder, as a fan of this franchise, want to lend his support and help pack the La Crosse Center house speaks volumes about the appeal of this game, and how fun it truly can be."
Saturday's game against the Omaha Beef is the first of five straight home games in a span of 27 days for the Spartans. A win could vault them into a tie with the Chicago Slaughter in the Central North Division standings, and just a game behind Bloomington for second place. Kickoff at the La Crosse Center is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the game are still available, but are running out FAST!
