Fans Invited to Meet the TinCaps Parkview Field Will Host a "Meet the Team" Event Wednesday Evening; Concession Items Half-Off Regular Prices

Fort Wayne, IN - TinCaps fans will have their first opportunity to meet and get autographs from the 2014 Fort Wayne TinCaps on Wednesday, April 2nd, starting at 5:00 p.m. The team will hold a workout at the ballpark, with an autograph session to follow at approximately 7:00 p.m. on the concourse behind home plate. Admission to the event is free, and all concession items will be discounted 50% from their regular prices.

Fans are encouraged to bring items they would like to have autographed, or they can stop by The Orchard team store to see the new selection of memorabilia available for the 2014 season.

This year's Opening Day roster features Norwell High School graduate Josh VanMeter, the first local position player in TinCaps history. Additionally, ten players from last year's playoff squad return to take the field for new manager Michael Collins, a former Padres farmhand.

The TinCaps' home opener is April 3rd, at 7:05 p.m. against the Great Lakes Loons. Opening Night features post-game fireworks and is a Thirsty Thursday with $1.00 beer specials. Tickets are available by visiting the ticket office at Parkview Field, calling 260-482-6400 or by going to TinCaps.com.
