Buffalo Beauts News Release

The Buffalo Beauts and NWHL are proud to announce the return of skilled and popular wing Taylor Accursi for her third season with the team. Accursi, who burst onto the scene two years ago in her rookie season with five goals in her first three games, has scored 10 goals and earned seven assists in 28 career NWHL games. She led the league in power play goals in 2017-18.

"We know that Taylor will be a difference-maker for the Beauts, both on and off the ice," said Buffalo general manager Mandy Cronin. "Her experience and leadership will go a long way with our young squad. I'm sure the Beauts' fans will agree with me that it's great to have Taylor back."

Over the past two seasons, Accursi was the Beauts' third-highest goal scorer and has earned a reputation for her epic goal celebrations.

"My goal is to bring a lot of energy, leadership, smiles and hopefully cellys to the Beauts and our fans this season," said Accursi.

The 24-year-old forward brought her passion for the game to Tampa this summer when she was a guest coach with Boston's Mallory Souliotis for street and ice hockey clinics that were a joint venture of the NWHL and the Tampa Bay Lightning.

"At those Tampa events with the NWHL and Lightning Made, I had either just as much fun or more fun than the kids themselves," said Accursi. "That's what got the ball rolling for me for a return to the Beauts."

The Ancaster, Ontario native played collegiately at Mercyhurst from 2013-2017. She found her scoring touch in her senior season at Mercyhurst when she scored nine goals in 35 games. She finished second on the team in scoring that year with 23 points and led the Lakers with a +13.

Season tickets for the Beauts are on sale now at NWHL.zone/tickets. Season tickets are just $165 for 12 games, including the club's outdoor game - the Buffalo Believes Classic at Riverworks, on December 28 against the rival Riveters.
