Fan Appreciation Night at Atlanta Silverbacks Park Saturday

ATLANTA, GA -With sights set on Denver and Major League Lacrosse Championship Weekend, the Atlanta Blaze (8-6) will return to Silverbacks Stadium to take on the Boston Cannons (8-6) for Fan Appreciation Night in their final home game of the 2019 season. Both teams will be jostling for playoff position after wins against their respective Week 14 opponents knocked Dallas out of playoff contention, thus securing the last two playoff spots.


Fans can watch the broadcast on CBS46 Peachtree TV on Channel 17. Fans can also watch the broadcast on Lax Sports Network at for free. Fans can also access LSN with the LSN app, or by searching for LSN or Roku, Chromecast, or Apple AirPlay.

Note: We encourage fans on gamedays with rain in the forecast to bring appropriate protection, such as rain jackets, umbrellas, ponchos, and protective seating. Please note that in any case of poor weather, Atlanta Silverbacks Park is an open-air venue and there are limited shelter spaces near the main entrance and near the restaurant and bar.


The Entrance fee at Atlanta Silverbacks Park is $3. Blaze fans will be directed to the upper level parking lot for our games.  Parking is operated by the park; The Blaze would like to advise fans to give themselves ample time to get to the stadium for opening faceoff.


Silverbacks Stadium's General Admission is open individual seating first-come first serve. Atlanta Silverbacks Park has a restaurant and beer garden adjacent to Silverbacks Stadium fans are encouraged to enjoy.


Alcohol, food, and fireworks are not allowed inside Silverbacks Stadium. However, fans are welcome to tailgate in the Blaze parking lot behind Renegades Field at Atlanta Silverbacks Park. Security has the right to not allow and other items they consider dangerous. Umbrellas, lacrosse sticks, and chairs are allowed inside the stadium.


Defender Liam Byrnes and midfielder Bryan Cole have earned Player of the Week honors for their outstanding play in Week 14 against Dallas. Cole led the Blaze with six points (2 goals, 4 assists) against the Rattlers while Byrnes caused four turnovers, collected two ground balls and racked up three points (2 goals, 1 assist) in the playoff-clinching win. 

The Blaze stars continue to earn recognition around the league and have been rewarded with 9 finalists in the 2019 MLL Honors awards. Liam Byrnes, Bryan Cole, Shayne Jackson, Chris Madalon, Tommy Palasek, Randy Staats, Brendan Sunday, Alex Woodall, and Head Coach Liam Banks round out the full list of candidates. Make sure to vote for the Blaze here before the voting poll closes on Friday, September 20th.

Atlanta looks to improve to 3-1 against Boston this season, having won the last two matchups between these teams. Home teams have struggled greatly throughout the league, posting a win-loss record of 18-25 for the 2019 MLL season. The electric energy at Silverbacks Stadium could be the difference to buck this trend.

    - 3 caused turnovers for Liam Byrnes would tie the Blaze Lifetime caused turnover record (29) and single-season caused turnover record

    - 6 points for Shayne Jackson would tie the Blaze single-season point record (61)

    - 5 saves for Chris Madalon would break the Blaze single-season save record (195)

    - 26 saves for the Atlanta Blaze would break the Blaze single-season team save record
