Familiar Faces in the Pioneers New Front Office

The Elmira Pioneers have a new front office staff set for the 2011 season and their are some familiar faces ready to greet our fans. Here is the lineup:

Team President Jeff Kunion will be taking over the GM responsibilities while Pat McKernan recovers from his kidney transplant. He will be aided by two members of last years staff. Patrick Nickerson, who spent the last six months working with the Class "AA" Altoona Curve rejoins the Pioneers as Assistant General Manager/Sales & Marketing. While Andrew Naylor will returns as Assistant General Manager/Game Day Operations.

Nickerson will be responsible for group ticket sales, advertising and sponsorship sales as well as special event marketing. Naylor will manage on field entertainment, game day employees and customer relations during each of the Pioneers home games.

"Both Pat and Andrew were instrumental in making our first year in Elmira a successful one. They have shown the ability to handle their new responsibilities and I expect that their efforts will make this year even more exciting than last." said Kunion

The Pioneers Opening Night is Thursday, June 9 versus the Cooperstown Hawkeyes. Come enjoy the post game fireworks show, presented by the City of Elmira. "Lucky Fan" giveaways include the Allegiant Air Weekend Vacation to Orlando, an HD TV, a DVD player, a digital camcorder, restaurant gift certificates, jewelry and more.
