Kelowna Falcons News Release
The Kelowna Falcons won their 33rd game of the season in a wild 13-7 win Saturday night over the Walla Walla Sweets in Washington State.
Kelowna opened the scoring with a pair of runs in the 1st, highlighted by an RBI double from Hunter Villanueva.

A dropped fly ball in left lead to Walla Walla's first run, while a wild pitch scored the 2nd. In the 3rd, the Sweets got an RBI double from Nick Halamandaris and an RBI single from Jon Hechtner to make it 4-3.
Kelowna would go back on top for good with a crazy 7-run 4th inning.
The Falcons sent 12 men to the plate, and on 5 hits, 3 walks, and 3 Sweets errors lead to the outburst.
Lane Lacrone, Matt Hearn, and Ben Gamba had RBI's in the frame, while the Falcons scored on a double steal and wild pitch as well.
Walla Walla got a single back in the bottom half, but Kelowna scored in the 6th on an RBI single from Joey Crunkilton who finished with 3 RBI's. Vinny Esposito added one of his own with a single in the 8th.
The Sweets scored a pair in the 9th but Matthew Kirk got the final 3 outs to preserve the win.
Milestones were the story on the night as well. Lacrone moved into 15th on the Single-Season Falcons hits list, while Villanueva went 3-4, to tie Grayson Porter for 1st in that category with 62.
Villanueva and Flores both scored in the 4th, tying the single-season Falcons runs mark with 37.
The Corvallis Knights picked up a win tonight to clinch the Wild-Card, meaning the Falcons will play in the 1st round of playoffs against the Bellingham Bells.
Home field is still to be decided on Sunday. A Kelowna win OR a Bellingham loss, and the Falcons will have home field in Game 2 (Wednesday) and Game 3 (If Necessary, Thursday) at Elks Stadium.
