Kelowna Falcons News Release
Max Carter had 3 hits for the Kelowna Falcons on Tuesday night, but the pitching wasn't there in a 9-4 loss to Bellingham at Elks Stadium.
For the 2nd consecutive night, the Bells chased the Falcons starting pitcher before an out was recorded. Elias Bedolla took his first loss of the season.
The Bells struck for 5 in the first inning, before Alex Webb kept them in check through the 4th, allowing only 1 run with a pair of San Diego Padres scouts in attendance. Webb was drafted by the Padres in the 36th round this year.
Jaramy Jacobs allowed 3 runs as the Bells lead 9-0 in the 5th.
The Falcons got on the board in the bottom of the 5th inning on a Grant Meylan Sac Fly. They would score in the 6th as well when Justin Flores homered to make it 9-2.
Kelowna added a pair in mop up time as Josh Egan cashed in a run with his 2nd hit of the night, and Kyle Plantier scored one on a groundout.
Aidan Kearney worked 2 scoreless innings for the Falcons, while Marcus Ethen threw a perfect 9th.
The Falcons will look for their 3rd straight series win on Wednesday during Firefighter Night at Elks Stadium. All money raised goes to the Kelowna Professional Firefighters Charitable Society and their Burn Fund. First Pitch is 6:35.
There will be lots to see and do, including Post-Game FIREWORKS so don't miss out!
