Kalamazoo Jr. K-Wings News Release
Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Jr. K-Wings, proud members of the North American Hockey League's North Division, are proud to announce that head coach, Marc Fakler, will be presenting the USA Hockey Coaches Education level three program on Sunday at the Fetzer Center at Western Michigan University.
Fakler, who has an extensive coaching background before heading up the Jr. K-Wings, will talk at the annual certification process required for all USA Hockey coaches. He is also no stranger to the WMU campus, as he was an assistant coach at Western Michigan University from 2006 until he took the reigns of the Jr. K-Wings program in 2010.
Fakler, who hails from Ann Arbor, and graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 2002, is no stranger to the public speaking scene in the hockey community. In 2009, he was a speaker at the National Hockey Coaches Symposium.
The Ann Arbor native has found quite the home behind the bench, as he has been coaching at the junior and collegiate level since 2002.
The Jr. K-Wings will hit the ice again on Saturday, October 13th, as they take on the Janesville Jets in the first game of a back-to-back series at the Borgess Health Rink inside Wings West.
