
Express Welcomes Some New Faces

Reading, PA - January 10, 2012- The Reading Express is excited to unveil its 2012 Front Office additions who are diligently working on the details of the 2012 Express Season.
In the position of Director of Sales and Client Relations is Barry Endy. Barry brings to the team over 7 years of business experience as an award winning realtor and 10 years of providing electrical services.
His primary responsibilities will be directing all the Express's sales operations as well as being a point person for our clients. He brings to the management team firsthand experience as a loyal fan. Last year he spent the season assisting his wife, Beth Endy, President of the Railheads, fan club. "Last year was a blast. I enjoyed helping bring excitement and direction to the fan club and will continue making things bigger and better for the best fans in the IFL!" said Barry. In his role, Barry will be molding our programs and game day experience from the prospective of the fan. "I am very excited about joining the Express front office. My passion for football and being part of a great sports franchise here in Reading is a dream come true. I look forward to working with the community, fans, and the other sports teams to make Reading the #1 minor league sports town in America" commented Endy.
Carl Friedel has joined the team as the General Manager. Carl's entrepreneurial background in the restaurant and real estate industry combined with his collegiate football career and international professional rugby experiences provides the Express with innovative leadership. Carl is looking forward to meeting the fans of the Express and delivering unique experiences at the games, "I am living a dream by being involved in sports again with a great organization." stated Carl. Carl will be actively supporting all of the sales efforts of the Express and managing daily operations.
"Our focus this year is to keep great Express Football in front of people in the Sovereign Center and add unique engaging elements that will keep everyone on their toes. We also have a concentration on adding layers to the Express that reach deep into the community and support our mission. Carl and Barry have a great synergy and I am excited to see their energy and passion present itself at the home opener, March 2" said Ted Lavender, Reading Express President and Owner.
The Reading Express is one of the most established franchises in indoor football. In six full seasons, the team has amassed an overall record of 73-27 with five division championships, two conference titles and the 2009 AIFA National Championship. In 2011, Reading began play as a new member of the Indoor Football League and captured the league's Atlantic Division title.
