
Express Sign Former Florida Gator

Reading, PA - December 16, 2011 - The Reading Express is pleased to announce the addition of University of Florida graduate Troy Epps, who signed with them on Nov. 12.
Epps was an NJCAA All-American honoree while he played at Coffeyville Community College. During his two years at Coffeyville, the 6'1" 292 pound defensive tackle had five forced fumbles, 10 sacks, 33 tackles for loss, over 100 total tackles, and three blocked kicks on special teams.
"Troy brings a whole new level of defensive football to the Express. He can play multiple positions and has been coached at one of the most prestigious football universities in our country and we are elated to add him to our roster" Head Coach Mark Steinmeyer said.
As a Gator, Epps was a member of the 2008 BCS National Championship team and 2009 Sugar Bowl Championship team. He made appearances in 7 games for the Gators during his junior and senior seasons.
The Reading Express are one of the most established franchises in indoor football. In six full seasons, the team has amassed an overall record of 73-27 with five division championships, two conference titles and the 2009 AIFA National Championship. In 2011, Reading began play as a new member of the Indoor Football League and captured the league's Atlantic Division title.
