December 29, 2008 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Jersey Express News Release

Madison, NJ. The ABA Jersey Express and the West Virginia Blazers played the second half of a back-to-back on Sunday afternoon with the express defeating the Blazers 119-106 following a 117-114 battle the previous evening at Drew University.

Jersey was led by rookie Jamal Webb who came off the bench to drop in 21 points. Lance Hazel scored 16 and Isaiah Hunter finished with 14. The 3-point shooting of Desi Crisp, who finished with 28 points, led West Virginia. The Jersey Express again had 6 players score in double figures for the game.

"The game was played on a day when both the Jets and Giants played huge games. In a state that hosts the 2008 Super Bowl Champion Giants, it's tough to play back-to-back on such a huge football weekend," stated Marsha Blount, team President. "I know the fans were torn and we appreciate those that did come to the second game in the set. They really showed their support."

The Express play at such a high pace, they promise highflying, exciting, fan-friendly entertainment at an affordable price. That's what fan that attend an Express game get. In the opening game Phil Smith led the team with his personal high of 31 points; Isaiah Hunter had 19 with 7 assists. Corey Love led the Blazers with a game high 37 and Desi Crisp added 24. It was a hard fought game. For more information, visit www.jerseyexpress.com or www.abalive.com.
