Round Rock Express News Release

ROUND ROCK - With the Express trailing Iowa 7-1 with one away in the top of the fifth inning, heavy rains swept over The Dell Diamond forcing the suspension of the final game of the series.

The game will be picked up in Iowa at a date to be determined. All fans attending Thursday's game may redeem their ticket for any other Round Rock 2007 home game, subject to availability, by mailing the ticket in or exchanging it at The Dell Diamond box office.

The Cubs led 2-1 heading into the fifth inning before five hits, including a pair of doubles, and two intentional walks from starting right-hander Chad Reineke allowed Iowa to put five runs on the board.

Reliever Travis Driskill stepped in for Reineke, who finished with seven earned runs on 10 hits, four walks and six strikeouts over 4 1/3 innings. Driskill did not record a pitch, though, as the game was postponed and eventually suspended.

Round Rock is set to welcome Memphis on Friday at The Dell Diamond. Game time is 7:05 p.m.
