Orangeville A's News Release
WINDSOR, On.- The Brampton A's fell 105-93 to the Windsor Express in game two of the Central Division Finals. The best of seven series is now split 1-1 as they A's will host games three and four next week.
The Brampton A's faced a tough Express team who jumped out to a 12 point lead in the first three minutes of play. The A's struggled to find their usual outside shooting rhythm, but managed to dominate the paint for the first half. After being down by as many as 20 points in the first stint, the A's rallied to cut the lead to 10 at the break.
Marques Oliver led the A's with eight points at the half, while Thomas Granado grabbed six rebounds.
Although Brampton didn't display it's best offensive performance, the A's stifled the Express better defensively in the second half. The A's narrowed the deficit to six points as the final minutes progressed, however, Windsor impeded every A's attempt to gain an advantage.
Akeem Scott finished the game with 19 points for Brampton, while TyShwan Edmondson added 14. Granado recorded a team-high nine rebounds.
The A's will host the Express at the Athlete Institute in Orangeville on April 1st and 3rd for games three and four. Tipoff for both contests is set for 7pm. For tickets visit https://my.rhinofit.ca/store/products/66131f2b.
