March 29, 2008 - International Basketball League (IBL)
Snohomish County Explosion News Release
Vancouver, WA. The Explosion have made history as for the first time in franchise history the Explosion have lost two games in a row with a 128-120 loss to the Vancouver Volcanoes. With a 98-99 one point lead the Explosion struggled in the fourth quarter for the second game in a row. Not being helped again the Explosion for the second game had a discrepancy of fouls called against them in the fourth quarter and without a huge defensive push the Explosion gave up the most points in a season game with 128 points scored against them.
Bright news was newly signed 6-7 guard Jermaine Blackburn was the Explosion leading scorer with 32 points and looks to make his home debut tomorrow night at 7:15 at the Monroe Sports arena vs. the 1-0 Jazz of Tacoma. Jamall Miller was back in form also with 25 points but help at the guards were missed with Donald Watts not suiting up for Fridays game. Coach Redwine has some work to do to get things going again for the Explosion as they drop out of first place in the Western Division.
