Manchester Wolves News Release

MANCHESTER, NH (February 7, 2005) The Manchester Wolves are welcoming Marc Bacote and Heyward Skipper to the team. These two sharp, fresh and skilled afl2 wide receivers carry quite impressive numbers with them.

Marc Bacote (WR/LB 6'5", 218lbs.), a native Virginian and graduate of James Madison University, played in the afl2 last year with the Wichita Stealth. Bacote heard great things about the Wolves and decided to try out the New Hampshire atmosphere for the 2005 season. While Bacote's offensive numbers are solid, his defensive numbers are another story. He had 17 solo sacks and 30 assists last year. Not too bad for an offensive player.

" I'm excited to start playing for the Wolves. I think this team has a lot of potential and it was the best place for me." Bacote remarked on learning of his assignment to Manchester.

Heyward Skipper (WR/DB 6'0, 184 lbs.), a former Odessa Roughneck player, hails from Troy State University in Alabama. Skipper was previewed in 2002 as the Trojan's best offensive player and went on to capture a spot in Troy State history. Totaling 1,868 receiving yards from 1999 through 2002, Skipper holds the number five spot as one of the Trojan's best receivers. Skipper had the third highest numbers in receiving with the Roughnecks, totaling 211 yards. With one season under his belt, Skipper says he is looking forward to working with coach Bennett and getting to play with his former Duke teammate, Roger Linn, again.

Skipper is looking forward to joining the Wolves," Coach Bennett has a great reputation. I'm happy to become a part of his team." He added that the fan support that the Wolves receive played a part in his excitement, "I have heard that the Wolves fans are loyal and vocal and I look forward to making them cheer loudly and often this season."
