Exhibition Game Cancelled; Infield, Home Run Derby Takes Its Place

COMSTOCK PARK, MI - The West Michigan Whitecaps exhibition game against Grand Valley State University scheduled for tonight at 6:00 p.m. has been cancelled due to unsafe field conditions because of the past several days of rain.

Fans will still be allowed into Fifth Third Ballpark as teams will be taking infield at 6 p.m. After infield, each team will have a couple players participate in a home run derby. The Whitecaps and the GVSU Lakers will still take part in autographs for fans following the derby on the concourse.

Exhibition game vouchers can be exchanged for $1 off a box or reserved seat ticket to any April 2008 Whitecaps home game. Contact the Whitecaps Ticket Office for more details at 616-784-4131.
