
Ex-RiverHawk to teach catching clinic

LOVES PARK, Ill. "" Former Rockford RiverHawk Elvin Millan, Jr. is offering a catching clinic 1-2:30 p.m. Saturday at Wallbangers Academy in Loves Park.
Millan said catchers will work on receiving, blocking, footwork and other catching fundamentals.
"It's the basics of catching, along with a little drill work," Millan said. "It's doing something over and over, continuously. It builds consistency behind the plate."
The clinic costs $25 per player and is open to catchers ages 9-18. Wallbangers Academy is located at 7135 Clinton Rd. in Loves Park.
