Everblades Announce 2011-12 Training Camp Schedule

ESTERO, FL - The Florida Everblades announced today the 2011-12 training camp schedule.. The Everblades are the ECHL affiliate of the Carolina Hurricanes and Tampa Bay Lightning.
Training camp will open on Friday, September 30. All practices and on-ice sessions will take place at Germain Arena. Practices are open to the public. A majority of practices will take place in the Green Rink on the recreational side of Germain Arena.
Head coach Greg Poss will be available to the media following the conclusion of practice sessions. Player availability will also be permitted following practice sessions. However, certain circumstances such as medical treatments, and other appointments could cause a particular player to be unavailable at those times. A training camp roster will be released at a later date.
The training camp schedule is highlighted by a pair of preseason games with the Chicago Express on Friday, October 7 at 7:35 p.m. and Saturday, October 8, at 7:00 p.m. Both games will take place at Germain Arena.

**Opening weekend against the Gwinnett Gladiators takes place on Friday, October 14 and Saturday, October 15. **
The Friday game will begin at 7:30 p.m., and will mark the debut of the brand new video scoreboard and cameras which will greatly enhance the fan experience, and in-game features at games. In addition, the first 5,000 fans to pass through the gates on opening night, will receive a 'Blades magnet schedule courtesy of Jani-King.
The two teams meet again the following day on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. However, the fun begins hours prior to the game with the McDonald's Tailgate Party, which kickoffs at 5:00 p.m. and will go on until the opening faceoff. The tailgate party will feature live music from Zombie University, and two bounce houses for the kids, along with many more fun festivities.
The first 5,000 fans to enter the arena for the Saturday game, will receive an Everblades commemorative folder, which features current and former 'Blades players presented by Edison College.
Individual games tickets for preseason and opening weekend are currently on sale! Stop by any Ticketmaster outlet, or the Capital Bank Box Office at Germain Arena.
